STRAWBERRY DESSERT SALAD
Serves two - prep time 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb. Fresh B.C. Strawberries - hull removed & cut in two
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of cayenne
Pinch of cinnamon
1 Tbsp white sugar
2 Tbsp Sherry
5-6 leaves of fresh mint rolled & thinly sliced
2 Tbsp sliced almonds
Method:
In a ceramic bowl mix the cut strawberries with sea salt, cayenne, cinnamon, sugar and sherry. Mix well. Then add the mint and almonds and mix thoroughly again.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for one hour. Serve in a fruit bowl or as a great topping for vanilla ice cream or yogurt.
